Spinning Babies® Session:
$200-$250 per visit

You and your baby will benefit from Spinning Babies® sessions regardless of whether you choose to give birth at home, birth center, or hospital.

Spinning Babies® incorporates body balancing techniques that work with your body to help your baby get into an optimal position for birth while also providing an effective way for you to prepare for childbirth.  Your Spinning Babies® Aware Practitioner will use techniques and teach you activities that alleviate common pregnancy related discomforts such as hip, back, and pelvic pain, heartburn, and swelling.

Midwife Heather LeMaster  is a Spinning Babies® Aware Practitioner, which means that she has completed the Spinning Babies® Professional Bodywork Education requirements. She has been practicing and using these techniques since 2010, and knows the pregnancy body well.

During the initial session with Heather you will begin Daily Essentials, which are activities you can do on your own that lengthen your muscles and increase your range of motion.

You can schedule Spinning Babies® sessions with Heather at any time prior to childbirth, but it is recommended that you begin Spinning Babies® at about 20 weeks.

Well Person Care: $100-$150

Most of us are reluctant to schedule a well woman visit because the typical experience feels rushed, impersonal, and invasive. However, a well woman visit with our midwives lasts about an hour and you can expect to be treated with dignity and respect.

During the clinical portion of the visit, we typically do a pelvic exam, a pap smear, and a breast exam along with instruction for self-exam. After this, the remaining time is dedicated to a discussion about what is going on in your life.

We generally cover topics such as emotional stressors, nutrition, exercise, family planning, and overall sexual health. This is a great time to focus on yourself as we focus on you.

San Diego County Midwives recommend that women, who are low risk with no previous history of an abnormal pap, schedule a well person visit every two to three years.

Well Person Office Visit (first visit – pap and cultures labs separate): $150.00

Well Person Office Visit (established client – pap and cultures labs separate): $100.00
